The 28th Festival of Slovenian Film Portorož will take place between 21 and 26 October 2025 at the Avditorij Portorož and the Magazin Grando in Portorož.
The Festival of Slovenian Film Portorož is a cultural and professional event where filmmakers, experts, business partners, and film enthusiasts meet. It is an annual gathering where, over six consecutive days, a fresh production of feature, documentary, animated, experimental, full-length, medium-length, and short films is screened. After the screenings, press conferences and film discussions are held with the presence of numerous filmmakers, while an important part of the festival is also the professional program with thematic conferences, film workshops, co-production meetings, and international cooperation. Various guests from Slovenia and abroad are invited to the festival, and relaxation is also provided, as the festival is intended for informal networking and the exchange of information among filmmakers as well as between the film community and the wider public.
