On Saturday, August 30, the stamping of painting surfaces will begin at various locations across Slovenia (Portorož, Ljubljana, Celje, Maribor) and in Croatia (Rijeka). During the week leading up to September 6, 2025, a series of engaging accompanying events for children and adults will take place in Piran, organized by the Coastal Galleries of Piran in collaboration with various partners.
This year’s international jury consists of Stephanie Perišić, art historian and curator at the City Gallery Labin (Croatia), Renzo Grigolon, art critic and professor at the R. Nordio Art Institute in Trieste (Italy), and Jadranka Plut, art critic and curator (Slovenia). The jury will select the artworks for the exhibition and award numerous prizes, among which the Youth Award and the Grand Prix stand out. The Ex-tempore Piran 2025 exhibition will once again be held at two venues: all award-winning works will be on display at the City Gallery Piran, while the Monfort Gallery in Portorož will showcase the works shortlisted by the international jury.
Ex-tempore Piran 2025 will conclude on Saturday, September 6, 2025, with the awards ceremony at 8:30 p.m. on Tartini Square, accompanied by a musical program: directed by Igor Jelen ─ Iggy, featuring tenor Žiga Lakner and cellist Bernardo Brizani. The event will be hosted by Iztok Gustinčič.
Free admission.
