Carmen is a full-length Spanish flamenco ballet performance in two acts. The ballet part was directed and choreographed by Tomaž Rode, while the flamenco dances were designed by Ana Pandur. Carmen is one of the most famous and popular Spanish stories. The ballet choreographed by Tomaž Rodet is based on the content of the well-known opera of the same name by Georges Bizet. It is a classical ballet version with many attractive duets, variations, pantomimes and contributions of real Spanish Flamenco to the famous music of Georges Bizet, who wrote the opera in 1875 based on the novel by Prosper Merimee.
