The Lady with the Camellias is a full-length dramatic ballet in eight scenes, produced by the Slovenian Association of Ballet Artists in2017. The ballet follows the theme of Verdi’s opera La Traviata, which is a version of Dumas’ novel The Lady with the Camellias. Passions are laid bare. The momentary and blind love of a young man in his twenties and the nobility of the heroine. The world-famous story, which has become a hit in theatre, ballet, opera and film over the centuries, is not presented as a projection, but as a memoir from the protagonist’s inner time, as an intimate drama.
