Brasileto – Thomas Gansch & Alegre Corrêa

Alegre Corrêa is certainly not unknown in this part of the world. The Grammy Award-winning musician lived in Vienna for many years and, as a leader of the Brazilian community, introduced many musicians to the local scene. Isabel Padovani, Ronaldo Saggiorato and Endrigo Bettega are three of the most outstanding representatives of this distinctly musical group with whom I have had the privilege of playing in my time. I have missed these musical giants very much since they returned home. That’s why I would like to bring them back across the pond and, together with them and the incredible Florian Trübsbach on saxophone, lead a South American-Viennese band that knows all the tricks of the trade and is sure to delight audiences.

Brasileto is the name of a musical form with a specific chord sequence that is often found in Brazilian music. It is also called Brasil Blues by musicians. Under this title, together with old and new friends from Latin America, I will put together an exclusive programme that should surely make it impossible for the audience to stay still in their seats while listening.
