Ready for the most colourful time of the year? Join us on 9 and 10 February as Portorož and Piran will come alive in a colorful carnival weekend full of dancing and fun! The legendary Italian DJ Gabry Ponte will perform in the former Grando salt warehouse in Portorož, meanwhile the Tartini Theatre in Piran will host the Grand Carnival Ball. Even the smallest carnival masks will come out in force in Avditorij Portorož.
Portorož and Piran will be the venue for a wide range of carnival events this year, starting on 9 February at the Grando Portorož with the biggest carnival party – Disco Carnival. Electronic pop music lovers will dance to the beats of the legendary Italian DJ Gabry Ponte, who will be joined by a stellar lineup of disco icons – Secret Disco, Paolo Barbato, Alex De Groove from Mastermix, and DJ Dash.
On Saturday, February 10th, electronic rhythms will be replaced by live music featuring pop, rock, and funky rhythms. De Peachkiss and DJ Adriano Roy will perform at the Carnival Ball in Tartini Theatre Piran. The evening promises a unique journey through time, as the theme of this year’s dance is Marco Polo’s travels. All carnival masks are invited to the picturesque theatre. Prizes will be awarded to the best masks.
