Free guided tour of Tartini’s Birth House (Casa Tartini)

The museum in the Tartini Birth House is designed to offer visitors an authentic experience. Old, well-preserved architecture and wall paintings reveal the rich history of Piran. We will take you through time, presenting you the stories written on the stones and in the walls, revealing the secrets of the past that shaped this extraordinary house and the events that contributed to the installation of the statue dedicated to Giuseppe Tartini in the central square of the town.

PROGRAM:
  • 10.00 am: History of the house, tour of the house, presentation of Tartini Projects
  • 11.00 am: Violin concert – Sonata in G minor Op. 1 n. 10 “Didone Abandoned”
  • 11.20 am: Relaxed gathering
In the exhibition room, musicologist Margherita Canale will present interesting insights into selected themes of the exhibition dedicated to the common European cultural heritage of Giuseppe Tartini – Master of Nations. At the relaxed gathering, we will toast the anniversary of the unveiling of the monument to Giuseppe Tartini, which took place on August 2, 1896.
