Free guided tour Tartini’s lost violin

This is an innovative and different approach to a guided tour of Piran, as participants learn about the culture, history and sights of Piran through interactive cooperation, solving tasks and searching for famous locations. They are constantly accompanied by the story and life of the famous composer Tartini, who lived here, in Piran.

Participants first meet at the monument to G. Tartini in the main square of Piran. A letter awaits them in which they receive basic instructions about the place, Tartini and also where the path takes them. The special map on a wooden violin guides them to the real Tartini violin. Participants visit all the main sights of Piran (Church of St. George, Minorite Monastery, Tartini Square)

A surprise awaits them at every point as tasks, games and a tasting of local products are included. The story and guided tour ends when participants find the last landmark / Tartini’s house and his original violin, located right there, in the memorial room of his birth house.

Surcharge for entrance fee to Tartini’s house and tasting is 10 € / person

Meeting point: Tartini Square, every day at 10 am and 5 pm

Pre-reservation mandatory on info@goportoroz.si or T: +386 40 465 000
