Concert
on the occasion of the 129th anniversary of the inauguration of the monument to
Giuseppe Tartini.
Giuseppe
Tartini was rightly defined as the “Maestro of the Nations” because, in
addition to being a renowned virtuoso of great originality, he was certainly
the most celebrated and internationally known and sought-after violin teacher
of the entire 18th century.
In the selected pieces, written by Tartini’s students, we’ll find the Maestro’s
spirit: the fundamental idea that the entire art of playing the violin – and
string instruments in general – consists in imitating the human voice. To play
well, one must sing well, maestro Tartini said.
