The Portorož Auditorium is delighted to announce a concert by Laibach on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 8:00 PM in the Auditorium Amphitheater. Laibach will perform tracks from their iconic album Opus Dei, along with a selection of other pieces from their repertoire, potentially including some new surprises.
Laibach’s cult album Opus Dei, featuring tracks like “Life is Life,” “Leben heisst Leben,” and “Geburt einer Nation,” was originally released in 1987 by Mute Records and is included in the renowned list of “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.” After 26 years, the album has been remastered and reissued with an abundance of additional historic live recordings and remixes spread across three vinyl records and four CDs.
Laibach is introducing this release with a special tour, playing some tracks from the album for the first time in many years in a new guise. The program will also include several other well-known and lesser-known tracks from their repertoire released before Opus Dei, along with some fresh surprises. As always with Laibach, expect the unexpected.
