Portorož will be the stage of the prestigious Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour regatta between July 26 and 28. This year, the sailing tour of Italy will also stop outside the borders of “Bella Italia” for the first time, and the organizers chose Portorož as the stop. The third edition of the Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour regatta started on June 24 in Genova. The fleet, which will sail around the entire coast of Italy, will also stop in Portorož before finishing in Venice. According to the organizers of the regatta, it has a love for the sea and sailing in his DNA.
Exciting regattas will begin in Portorož on July 26 with the first exercises of the Waszp and Wingfoil flying classes, which are known for rising from the water and flying a few centimeters above the sea level when reaching high speed. The regattas will also continue on July 27, when ten crews of the Beneteau Figaro 3 class will sail into the Gulf of Portorož, which is separated by 160 nautical miles from San Benedetto.
The sailing village will open its doors on July 26 at 12 am at the Overseas Brigades Square (Trg prekomorskih brigad), where various events will take place with culinary offerings, prizes and evening concerts. The group Booom! will perform on July 26, and a day later Milizza – Tribute to Sting & The Police with Gregor Ravnik.
