On the Summer Museum Night, 17 June, which is dedicated to getting to knowmuseum institutions across the country, we will open an exhibition entitled My Home by local photographer Martin Bobič (1964-2022) at theHerman Pečarič Gallery in Piran
A shortlist of the author’s photographs shows his view of Piran and life there. Martin Bobič moved to this region in1976 and to Piran in 1995. He was an amateur photographer, documentary filmmaker of his time in Piran and a founding member of the Portorož Photography Club. In his rich photographic oeuvre, we can observe his love for classical motifs, such as the inhabitants of Piran, the city’s buildings, glimpses of events and animals captured in the lens.
