Renowned for their top-tier acoustic gypsy swing, Teo Collori & Momento Cigano step into an exciting new phase of their musical journey. This time, in an expanded lineup and with a richer, more cinematic sound that boldly moves beyond genre boundaries.
The original acoustic quintet has been reimagined with the addition of drums and a string quartet, and the lead guitar replaced by electric. The result is a carefully curated new program—partially composed of brand-new material—that shifts away from pure gypsy swing, opening up unexpected sonic landscapes full of depth and emotion.
The ensemble features:
Teo Collori (guitar), Matija Krečič (violin), Matej Kužel (clarinet), Metod Banko (guitar, vocals), Jošt Lampret (double bass), joined by Pavel Čebašek on drums, and string players Ana Mezgec (violin), Petar Njegovan (viola), and Ema Krečič (cello).
Inventive, elegant, and emotionally charged— this is Momento Cigano Extended. A playful name, perhaps, but one that perfectly captures this bold new chapter in the band’s evolution.
