Rambo Amadeus – Standup jazz

Rambo Amadeus – Standup Jazz (quartet): “An evening of heavy poetry and wobbly jazz”

Antonije Pušić, better known as Rambo Amadeus, is a legend of the former Yugoslavia and calls himself: musician, poet and media manipulator. With his appearance, sharp humor and musical burlesque, he slipped deep into our subconscious. The performance-loving “Balkan boy” multi-practices various musical styles and combines the incompatible. In recent years, his music has been especially seasoned with jazz and an improvised band, which fit his inexhaustible picky language about business, politics, sports, crime, entertainment, and religion.
His songs combine satirical lyrics about the nature of the common man and the absurdity of local politics, and use a mixture of musical styles (in the newer works they develop into a drum’n’bass sound, while in the earlier works they add many elements of turbo folk), as well as jokes at their own expense.
He is known as the godfather of turbo-folk, which is his unique contribution to domestic pop culture. This is how Rambo Amadeus described his own sound at the time of his first album (1988), and the name was then adopted by the stars of newly composed folk music.
Entrance fee: 26 EUR on the day of the event, 23 EUR in advance (Early bird price 19.90 EUR)
