I SOLISTI VENETI

The popular Italian Chamber Orchestra, I Solisti Veneti, was founded by Claudio Scimone in 1959 and led til his passing in 2018. The orchestra has presented over 6,000 concerts in over 90 Countries, has participated in the most important International Festivals, recorded over 350 LPs, CDs and DVDs, and has a rich selection of cultural and promotional activities.

I Solisti Veneti and Claudio Scimone have obtained the highest awards in the musical field. In 2008 at the La Fenice Theatre in Venice, they received from the Arthur Rubinstein Association the “Una Vita per la Musica” award, which is considered in Italy as the Nobel Prize for music.

They have worked with the best singers and soloists of our era, among them Placido Domingo, José Carreras, June Anderson, to mention only a few. They have successfully revived hundreds of previously unknown concert and opera works from the Italian musical heritage, thus revealing several great composers of the past. Many among the most famous composers of our era, including Ennio Morricone who dedicated pieces to I Solisti Veneti.
