Vindšnurer started playing music at the age of seven. First, he completed the lower music school for piano with prof. Meta Novak, and then the lower music school for double bass with prof. George Malkoč. In 2014, he was accepted to the Music and Ballet Conservatory, majoring in jazz double bass. While studying at the conservatory, he won the Temsig national competition in March 2016 with the Jazzed ensemble; a month later, he also won the jazz group competition in Treviso with the same ensemble. Vindšnurer has collaborated with the Big Band of RTV Slovenia as part of »young jazz musicians«. In addition to the Jazzed group, he is a member of the big band of the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Conservatory, the group Mencarija, Summertime quintet, Wild cats, Mr. J. V. trio … He has played more than 400 concerts and performances so far. In the years 2016-2017, he participated in the Studenec Summer Theater, where he played in groups under the auspices of renowned Slovenian musician Slavko Avsenik Jr. He regularly participates as a substitute for the Domžale Band and participates in professional workshops: Jazz Camp Kranj (2015) and Jazzinty-Novo Mesto (2016, 2017, 2018). He has been educated under world-famous musicians: Aleš Avbelj, Paul Berner, Linda Oh, David Binney, Joe Sanders, Myles Sloniker, Kaspar Vadsholt, Jim Snidero, Goran Kostić … In 2018, he completed his education at the Music and Ballet Conservatory with a matura with distinction, under under the supervision of prof. Robert Jukič; the year before, he finished the matura at Poljane grammar school. He continues his education at the Academy of Music and Fine Arts in Graz, with the renowned double bassist and pedagogue Morten Ramsbøl. Already in his first year of schooling at the University of Graz, he won first prize with the group Wild Cats, as well as a special recognition for achieving all 100 points, in the TEMSIG 2019 competition in the jazz chamber groups category. Individually, he has also proved himself at the Marianne Mendt competition. In 2020, he won first place in the soloist category at the TEMSIG competition, in the under-22 category. He also received an award for the best performed obligatory composition and a composition by a Slovenian composer: the composition Halb Neun, which is his own. In addition to competitions and school obligations, he regularly performs on the international scene: Austria, Croatia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany … He has performed with acclaimed musicians such as: Max Grosch, Chicco Renato, Ricki Malet, Christian Havel, Anil Bilgen, Lajos Toth, Ratko Divjak, Stane Hebar, Borut Rampih …
GAL GOLOB
Gal Golob started playing the cello at the age of six at the lower music and ballet school in Ljubljana, with prof. Milan Vrsajkov. In 2012, he won second prize and the golden plaque at the TEMSIG national competition, category 2000/2001, as the best of his generation. Between 2015 and 2019, he studied as a cellist at the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Conservatory with prof. Karmen Pečar Koritnik and as a jazz double bass player with prof. Robert Jukič. He has also been attending seminars of many world-renowned cellists, such as Wen Sinn Yang, Reinhardt Latzko, Torleif Thedeen, Martin Ostertag, Jaka Stadler, Marko Ylönen, Giovanni Gnocchi, Russel Hall, Emmet Cohen, Žan Tetičković, Joe Sanders, Jure Pukl, Reggie Washington, Seamus Blake, Melissa Aldana, Joel Ross, Kaja Draksler, Peter Evans, Doug Hammond, Gregory Hutchinson and others. In 2017, Golob won third prize at the Petar Konjović international cellist competition in Belgrade. In 2018, he won the silver plaque at the TEMSIG national competition. He has performed in many countries – Hungary, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, Serbia, and at festivals such as Allegro Vivo, Bled Festival, Cellofest, Jazz Festival Ljubljana, Ljubljana Festival, and in institutions such as Cankarjev dom, the Slovenian Philharmonic, Liechtenstein Academy, Graz Conservatory and also jazz clubs Gajo, Prulček, SOHO, Kulturpalast Linden …
He regularly plays in various bands – Cello attacca! (cello ensemble); the Čemomka duo, a project with accordionist Nejc Poljanec. He regularly plays jazz concerts in Prulček and Gajo with many different ensembles of jazz students. He often also arranges and writes his own songs. He is currently in his second semester at the Höchschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hannover, where he is studying jazz cello and double bass with prof. Stephan Brown.
SAMO HUDE
The promising young jazz pianist Samo Hude, who is currently studying at the famous Jazz Institute in Berlin, began his musical career at the Kranj Music School. He continued his education at the Ljubljana Music and Ballet Conservatory, where he became acquainted with jazz culture and improvised music. He is currently gaining ground on both the domestic and the foreign jazz scene. He is the winner of numerous national and international awards in both classical and jazz music.
