PIRAN MUSICAL EVENINGS

The fact that the Piran Music Evenings are a quality complement to cultural events in the wider Slovenian area is evidenced by their long life journey today. The design of the cycle dates back to the spring of 1978, when the beautiful architecture of the ancient city of Piran and whose beauty they wanted to connect with music and offer it as a harmony of two arts.

The cross corridor of the Minorite monastery in Piran was an ideal ambience connecting architecture with the music that sounded there more than 300 years ago with the musical efforts of a young compatriot, later world violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini.
The artistic committee was led by Bača Šramel Justin and so the first chamber concert in Piran sounded on July 13, 1979 with the performance of the Tartini Trio.

Organised by: Portorož – Portorose Auditorium
