Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra
The Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra boasts a rich tradition, dating back to 1701, and in its current form came to life in 1947, when the Slovenian Philharmonic was founded. Its growth is due to domestic permanent conductors, including Samo Hubad, Uroš Lajovic and Marko Letonja, as well as conductor’s guests and soloists of international renown. The orchestra, which brings together the best domestic and foreign musicians and regularly performs at the most resounding music festivals abroad, performs a standard orchestral repertoire of the 18th and 19th centuries as well as modern and older stylistic music, proving its versatility. Since 2019, he has also been the resident orchestra of the Ljubljana Festival.
