The organizer, Tennis Slovenia, wants the best Slovenian players to perform, as we have three Slovenians among the top 100, as well as Jakupović, who was there recently. We also have four Slovenians among the top 100 in the doubles game. We want to offer our players a home tournament, in a beautiful environment.
The WTA Series tournaments have a cash pool of around $ 250,000, and the tournament winner receives 280 points for the WTA rankings. This year, there are 25 tournaments in the WTA 250 series (7 more until the end of the season). The tournament will take place on a hard surface in the Marina Portorož Sports Center.
