In the Municipality of Piran, dogs are not allowed on public bathing areas (Portorož beach) due to safety regulations. However, there are no restrictions on other public coastal areas, allowing your furry companions to freely enjoy the water.

Monty’s Dog Beach & Bar Slovenia is the first real dog beach in the country, located at the beginning of the former Lucija beach (below the outdoor pool of Hotel Metropol).

The beach offers a playground for running, shaded rest areas, a bar with treats, and a shower for both small and large dogs. Entry, splashing in the sea, use of the playground, and showers are free of charge, while the bar’s offer for dogs and their owners is exceptional.
