The Museum of Underwater Activities Piran, located at Župančičeva ulica 24, offers an in-depth look into the history of diving and underwater activities along the Slovenian coast and the broader Adriatic region.
Exhibits feature:
- Historical diving equipment: ancient diving suits, hand pumps, and 19th-century pressure regulators.
- Military and civilian diving: gear from various periods, including navies of Austro-Hungary, Italy, and Yugoslavia.
- Underwater weaponry and submarine models: showcasing technological and tactical developments.
- Personal items of divers: photographs, diaries, and artifacts illustrating daily life underwater.
The museum provides insights into the technical evolution of diving and the lives of divers throughout history. It is suitable for families, school groups, and maritime heritage enthusiasts.

- 15 June – 30 June: daily, 9:00–20:00
- 1 July – 31 August: daily, 9:00–21:00
- 1 September – 30 September: daily, 10:00–18:00
- 1 October – 31 May: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, 11:00–18:00
- Groups: by prior arrangement, daily between 9:00 and 21:00
