Piran Lighthouse
Cultural Heritage
Piran Lighthouse, located on the far end of the Punta cape next to the Church of St. Clement, is one of the most recognizable symbols of the town. With its origins in the 19th century, it played an important role in maritime navigation and is closely connected to the town walls and the church from the 13th century. Today, the lighthouse is a popular spot for walks, watching sunsets, and discovering the rich history of Piran, the life of lighthouse keepers, and the architectural heritage of the coastal town.
The lighthouse is open to visitors, and its premises also host temporary exhibitions. The entrance fee is 3 EUR, while children under 7 years have free admission. The lighthouse is also available to associations and institutions operating in the public interest, thus strengthening the cultural and historical heritage of Piran.
