Piran Walking Path

9 km / 2 h 30 min

The path that circles the town presents Piran in a truly unique light. This town is incredibly photogenic from every angle. The route, which mostly follows the coastline, is scenic, easy, and only slightly steep in a few places. Don’t forget your camera! A walk along this path offers two and a half hours of pure relaxation.

Strunjan Walking Path

12 km / 3 h

It’s hard to describe the beauty, charm, or scenic appeal of this trail — there simply aren’t words for something so exceptional. This path is one you simply must experience. It runs along the edge of the highest cliff of the eastern Adriatic and through the protected area of the landscape park by the salt pans.

Seča Path

9 km / 2 h 30 min

If you want to fully escape the city buzz, the Seča Walking Path is the perfect choice.

The sea, Forma Viva sculpture park, tranquility, a new perspective on Portorož, the fairy tale of the salt pans, the unique footbridge across the St. Bartholomew canal — and a million more reasons to dedicate two hours to an unforgettable day.

Coastal Trail

13 km / 7 h

The longest of the ten walking trails runs almost entirely along the sea. The proximity to the water and the distant views of foreign shores and mountain ranges give this trail a special charm. The Coastal Trail uniquely connects all the urban settlements of the Piran area and serves as the “backbone” of all the other trails. You can walk the entire route in one direction in seven hours.

Portorož Trail

5 km / 2 h

The circular trail around Portorož will impress even the harshest critics. A bit more caution is needed at two points where the trail crosses the main road, but apart from that — despite a few more twists and turns that require attention to direction signs — it’s pure enjoyment. Vistas, parks, landscapes, and points of interest alternate constantly. This therapeutic walk lasts just under two hours.

Lucija Trail

4 km / 2 h

This circular walking trail also takes you through Lucija, the largest settlement in the Municipality of Piran. It shows that Lucija and its immediate surroundings are indeed colorful and appealing. While there are a few gentle uphill sections, the entire walk will only take you two hours — and you’ll recharge your “batteries” for much longer.

Med oljkami

4 km / 1 h 30 min

Trail of Three Countries

5 km / 2 h

The trail connecting the Strunjan area with Lucija is well worth walking, as its exceptional scenery and vistas make it feel almost surreal. At the top of the hill between Lucija and Strunjan, you’re treated to a breathtaking view of the Croatian part of northern Istria, the Italian coast, our mountains, and Slovenian Istria. Three countries captured in a single glance! And all of this in just two hours of walking.

Between the Bays

2 km / 45 min

This connecting trail, which links Fiesa with Portorož, can be enjoyed as a short walk on its own, or even better, as part of a longer hiking combination. You’ll complete it in about 45 minutes. For the most part, it follows a narrow “goat” path through untouched nature and dense vegetation. On either end, you can continue your walk on one of the other Piran trails.

Through the Tunnel

3,5 km / 1 h

This trail connects Strunjan and Portorož through the tunnel of the former narrow-gauge railway line Trieste–Poreč. You simply have to experience it. One moment you’re in the sun, the next in total darkness, and then — surprise! From the chic and lively Portorož to the peaceful, salt-pan-filled Strunjan in just one hour — amazing!
