The Walls of Piran from which one can see as far as the Alps is a distinctive part of the townscape and an important part of the cultural heritage of Piran. You are kindly invited to participate in a photo award competition honouring the picturesque fortification, which had protected and secured the old town centre.
How did you experience the picturesque walls today, yesterday or perhaps many years ago? Please visit the Facebook page of the Portorož Tourist Office and share your photo featuring the Walls of Piran by 18 September. Nine finalists will be chosen from the published photos and the top three will be awarded. The vote to choose the winners will take place between 20 and 27 September on the Facebook page where you can also find the rules of the competition. The authors of the three photos that will receive the most likes will each be awarded the culinary package “Greetings from Piran”.
The competition is a part of the activities within the Adrifort cross-border project (IPA-Adriatic Programme 2007-2013) linking the historical fortresses and military compounds in the Adriatic.
