Portorož and Piran

tastings and the place to be is Slovenian Istria, which combines various
out-of-the-box experiences that will impress every foodie. Discover the top three autumn experiences in the hinterland
of Portorož & Piran that will add a touch of authenticity to your visit.
Top quality wines, organic olive oil and fragrant truffles are the main assets
in these stories.

The perfect combination of the breathtaking sunset &
excellent wines

Taste some of the most excellent wines of Slovenian Istria and enjoy
unforgettable sunset at the Brič Estate. The tour will take you to Brič Wine
Estate, where you will have a chance to get to know the story of the
award-winning, ecologically produced wines. Accompanied by local culinary
delicacies such as Istrian prosciutto, cheese and bobiči stew,
this will be one-of-a-kind experience that will stay in your mind long after
the taste of wine.

Truffle hunt!

Istria hides numerous gourmet treasures, with the biggest definitely
being truffles. Meet the “truffle lady” Sara and her puppy Lisa, who will take
you on the tour into the mysterious world of truffles. Together, you will explore the hidden corners of the woods, hunt for
some truffles, and afterwards transform into a chef and following a traditional
recipe, prepare typical fuži – Istrian pasta – with truffles. A unique gourmet
experience will be nicely rounded out the wine from the local winery.

Authenticity
at its best!

Are you
interested in authentic Istrian life, away from the tourist crowds? Meet three
wonderful women who will take you on the journey among the olive trees, local dishes and herbs. Nina will welcome you at the Gramona organic farm. While
enjoying a breathtaking view of the salt pans, you will have a chance to taste
superb, extra virgin olive oil. Marina, the second lady, and her ducks and geese,
will welcome you at Medljan tourist farm, where a delicious lunch with seasonal
local ingredients will be served. For an unforgettable end of the day, Jana
will take you to her treasure trove of Histria Botanica herbs. In the green
surroundings of the Dragonja Valley, you will learn the basics of aromatherapy
and make your own hydrolate from local herbs.
