Tourism Development Strategy in the Municipality of Piran: Key Product Areas and Objectives

Tourism product strategy is essential if we wish to strengthen the attractiveness of the destination, extend the tourist season, increase the average daily expenditure of visitors, maintain the average length of stay, and achieve higher service prices.

The basic objectives of the long-term development of tourism in the Municipality of Piran aim at raising the quality of services, restructuring tourism markets, and developing innovative tourism services.

The product areas on which the destination will build the further development of tourism are:

  • events and business meetings,
  • sun and sea,
  • health and well-being,
  • gastronomy,
  • nature experiences,
  • culture and heritage,
  • sports tourism and recreation, and
  • entertainment and leisure.
